The "Wound and Lymphoedema Management" white paper published by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2010 deals in particular with the subject of wound and lymphoedema management in resource poor settings.

The aim of this document is to focus on the wound and all its complex features and how these can be simplified. The document outlines guidelines which can be used as a resource for developing disease-specific and corresponding training curricula for use in resource-poor surroundings. Furthermore it considers basic clinical indicators for monitoring and evaluating wound and lymphoedema management interventions.
